Therapeutic Massage & Functional Bodywork
More than relaxation. This is hands-on care designed to restore function, reduce pain, and help the body move better.
Therapeutic massage and functional bodywork address the muscular and soft-tissue patterns that contribute to chronic pain, restricted movement, compensation, and recurring discomfort. Rather than simply working where it hurts, each session looks at how the body is functioning as a whole—identifying areas of tension, restriction, imbalance, and compensation that may be contributing to the problem.
Request an AppointmentSessions may incorporate deep tissue and neuromuscular techniques, myofascial and structural work, trigger-point therapy, assisted stretching, joint and soft-tissue mobilization, and targeted work to the muscles involved in posture, movement, breathing, and stabilization.
The goal is not pampering. The goal is better function.
Treatment is individualized to help:
- Reduce chronic muscular pain and tension
- Improve mobility and range of motion
- Address compensatory movement patterns
- Restore balance between overworked and under-functioning areas
- Reduce soft-tissue restriction and improve tissue mobility
- Support recovery from repetitive strain, physical work, exercise, and injury
- Improve comfort with everyday movement
- Help maintain the improvements achieved through chiropractic and other rehabilitative care
For clients living with chronic or recurring pain, massage can be an important part of ongoing musculoskeletal care—helping the body move more efficiently and reducing the soft-tissue restrictions that can continually pull it back into dysfunctional patterns.
This isn’t about escaping your body for an hour. It’s about helping you function better in it.
